Currently, we list 49 people who are “always interested” in acquiring maps*. One of them is Graham Cornell of Cornell Maps. Recently we were in his wonderful shop in Tewkesbury High Street. As one of the leading map specialists in England Graham has a substantial stock ranging from 19th century printings to the latest Explorer series. He also has a remarkable abundance of secondhand books – and astonishingly he knows where everything is, which is not always the case amongst bookshop proprietors.
So lots of plaudits for Cornell Maps and Books. And no, we had not met Mr Cornell before last week, and he doesn’t know that we are writing this.
