January saw a massive surge in enquiries about Where To Sell Ivory – 21% of all enquiries, against 9% in December.
The level of enquiries was so high that some auctioneers asked to be temporarily removed from the Ivory category.
China, jewellery, clothes and stamps continue to be the most popular categories.
However, Furniture (20th c. predominant) having shown 14% of enquiries in December, was down to 7% in January.
